Meet the Aussie AC/DC superfan who has spent tens of thousands on a mancave dedicated to the rock legends

Burgo isn't your average AC/DC fan.

The Victoria man bleeds AC/DC – he's seen them 11 times, has met the band members and even has a "man cave" worth tens of thousand of dollars dedicated to the homegrown rock legends.

"I believe you have the Beatles, you have AC/DC, you have these bands that are going to live on. They're going to be around a long time after they they have retired," he told A Current Affair.

"Their music will live on forever. I really believe that."

He's one of countless megafans in Australia who can't believe their luck that AC/DC is finally coming back to tour Down Under after a decade.

"A lot of people never thought that it would happen," Burgo said.

Meanwhile, Les is among the select group of fans who are part of AC/DC history.

The 80-year-old was involved in the iconic 1976 music video for It's A Long Way To The Top, which was filmed in Melbourne.

Les lent his musical chops by playing the bagpipe in the famous video.

"I had absolutely no idea how far this song would go, because it's become an iconic song all over the world," he said.

"We were back to the hotel where they were staying. They were having a few drinks, and we're having a few chats."

Australia's love affair with AC/DC runs deep, so much so there's an AC/DC Lane in Melbourne.

James Young owns rock and roll venue Cherry Bar in Melbourne, which once had a venue on AC/DC Lane.

"You're not allowed to be buried in Australia unless you've seen AC/DC live," he joked.

"So all of us, we have to go. I'm saying, take your grandparents, take your parents, take your kids, take your worst enemy."

Fans in Melbourne waited out in the cold for hours to get their hands on physical tickets that went on sale today.

One ticketholder managed to score a seat after waiting 22 hours.

The band will be performing the 2025 POWER UP Tour! at stadiums in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide in November and December later this year.
