Victoria Police is fully committed to assisting in the Coroner in the Bourke Street Coronial Inquest.

More than 50 Victoria Police employees have been named as witnesses.

To manage any perceived conflicts of interest, we have engaged a number of legal firms to represent our employees.

A police veteran who has been named as a witness has been offered fully funded separate representation.

He has been given the option to choose any of the firms listed on the State Government legal panel.

Victoria Police will continue to support current and former employees in the lead up to and throughout the Coronial Inquest.
