Ninety-year-old's touching wedding 35 years in the making
These days many people are waiting longer to get married, but this couple from Melbourne's north takes the cake.
Ilaine and Alan are getting married at the ripe old age of 90. The big day has been 35 years in the making.
Alan told reporter Tineka Everaardt he didn't get down on one knee to propose.

"I wouldn't be able to get up again," he said, laughing.
But the pre-wedding jitters hit grandfather Alan Yorke hard. He admitted he didn't get a wink of sleep before his big day.
For his bride-to-be, the opposite was true.
She had to ask her daughter to ring her in the morning because she was worried she might sleep through.

"I got two alarms, but I couldn't tell you where they are," Ilana told A Current Affair.
The cheeky great-grandmother of eight said the engagement was a surprise even to her. "We were just in the shopping centre and he saw this ring and I said, 'oh that ring looks nice for that price,'" she said.
"So he said, 'that's our engagement ring.'"

Looking back on their 35 years together, the couple said they were too busy going on holidays, playing tennis, and doing ballroom dancing to fit in a wedding.
Asked how they wanted to spend their next decades together, both burst into laughter.
"Decades? I don't want to live that long!" said Ilaine.
"My philosophy is just be glad you have a day when you wake up and enjoy it."
