Mum caught using fake disability permit to snare parking spot

A Current Affair has tracked down and named-and-shamed a Sydney mum who was caught by police with a fake disability permit.

Yasmina Hajjar, 28, somehow believed she deserved special treatment and that the rules didn't apply to her, parking her luxury Range Rover in a clearly marked disabled spot, using a doctored permit.

When pulled over by police, she produced the fraudulent mobile disability permit and officers soon realised the permit was a photocopy of someone else's card - even the expiry date and the numbers had been altered to make it look like a real one.

Yasmina told the officers the permit belonged to her dad, who owned the Range Rover.

But a quick police check showed no disabilities registered on his licence.

Yasmina is facing a $572 fine and a loss of one demerit point for parking in a disabled spot, but nothing more for being caught with a fake permit.

Police say they have seized the permit and investigations are continuing.
