84-year-old fights back in Sydney robbery

An 84-year-old has fought back after being threatened with a knife during an attempted armed robbery in Cabramatta, in Sydney's west.
The man was walking along Albert Street in Cabramatta about 1.30pm on Monday when he was approached by a man carrying a knife who demanded money.
He was then punched in the eye and fell to the ground following a struggle with his attacker, who was described as aged 30-35 years, Asian in appearance, between 165-170cm tall and with a skinny build.

The elderly man was taken to Liverpool Hospital with bruising to his eye and a cut to his elbow, requiring stitches.
