Lilibet's Granddad

The arrival of a new baby is always a special time and this week there have been plenty of well wishes for Harry and Meghan following the birth of their second child, a daughter. Part of the joy is an expectation that Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor will help to restore some much-needed harmony in the Royal family, battered after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex aired their grievances in tell-all TV interviews. On the Markle side of the family though, Lilibet's granddad Thomas remains persona non-grata. And that's why he has given a world exclusive interview to 60 MINUTES. As Tom Steinfort reports, Thomas Markle's wish is that his daughter and son-in-law will somehow see this story, accept his apology for past embarrassments, and listen to his heartfelt plea to be a part of his grandchildren's lives.
