Howard Sacre

Howard Sacre is the foreign editor and a senior story producer with 60 Minutes. He is the father of three boys.

Howard was born in Brisbane in 1951. He was educated at Church of England Grammar School and Queensland University, before beginning his career in journalism at QTQ9 Brisbane. 

After two years as a cadet journalist, he moved to the newsroom at Radio 4IP and then helped establish the news broadcasts at Brisbane's Channel 10. Thus began 17 years with the TEN Network in Brisbane and Sydney. During this period, Howard was posted to New York City as TEN's United States correspondent. 

In 1992, Howard joined the Nine Network in Sydney. He worked there as a producer with Mike Willesee before moving to 60 Minutes in 1994. 

For 12 years, Howard was the producer for the late Richard Carleton. 

At 60 Minutes, he specialises in stories on world trouble spots and investigative reports.
