As a new recruit to 60 Minutes, he’s only just begun to test that theory – but all the early signs are good.

Bryce comes to 60 Minutes with more than 25 years experience as a journalist.

He began his career as a cadet at Sydney’s Daily Telegraph (back when there were faxes and telex machines ... because he’s that old).

London soon beckoned and he answered her call, spending three years working variously at The Times, The Mail On Sunday and as a producer at Sky News.

Figuring no European experience would be complete without a stint living in Paris, he moved across The Channel in 2000. He planned to for a year – but it somehow turned into ten.

During his time in Paris he served as the Director of Communications of an international organisation, freelanced for various media outlets in Australia and the US and wrote two best-selling books. A Town Like Paris (Hachette, 2007) was published in Australia and the US, and Memoirs Of A Showgirl (Hachette, 2010) followed not long after, based on the life and times of his newly acquired wife, Shay, an Aussie dancer at Moulin Rouge.

Upon returning to Australia, Bryce became the Executive Editor of The Australian Women’s Weekly, where he served for six years as one of the magazine’s senior writers.

During that time, he authored two more best-selling books: Rosie Batty: A Mother’s Story (Harper Collins, 2015) and Turia Pitt: Unmasked (Random House, 2017).

Prior to joining 60 Minutes, Bryce worked at the Australian Financial Review as a columnist and senior writer.

He’s delighted to have changed mediums and looks forward to offering up his reporting and storytelling experience to what he believes is the best group of TV professionals in the business.
