‘An ego that broke his entire machine’: Ex publicist exposes Andrew Tate’s downfall

Now, with Andrew and his brother Tristan locked up in Miami awaiting extradition to the UK on more than 50 charges, Petrescu has turned her back on her former employer.
She steered crisis management while the self-described misogynist faced mounting allegations of rape, human trafficking, and child pornography across Europe.
“He still went because he believes that he’s invincible,” Petrescu said, revealing she warned him not to board the flight that ultimately led to his arrest in the US last month.
“He has an ego that broke his entire machine... Yes, this is the end. I have no doubt about that.”
Petrescu offered no apologies for her role in defending the brothers during foreign police investigations, rejecting the idea that her decision to speak out was a bid for public forgiveness.
“This is not a redemption arc,” Petrescu said.
“I haven’t had a sudden attack of conscience or a sudden attack of morality. I knew who I was working with.”
While the Tates face extradition – and have denied wrongdoing – authorities and educators warn the real-world harm caused by their online platform continues to spread.

Sunshine Coast schoolteacher Jane Larkin says Tate’s toxic messaging has corrupted classrooms, with male students routinely parroting his views and directing extreme harassment at female staff.
“Unfortunately, it’s become the norm,” Larkin said.
“You hear his name quite a lot.”

Her experience reflects landmark research from the University of Melbourne, revealing one in three teachers blame Andrew Tate for rising extremist attitudes in schoolboys.
Dr Sara Meger, who led the study and provided evidence at a Royal Commission into extremism, warned that aggressive gender views online are increasingly acting as a gateway to violent extremism.
For the women accusing Tate of horrific violence dating back more than a decade, legal accountability has been far too slow.
Matthew Jury, a UK lawyer representing four accusers, said British police ”utterly failed” victims by shelving early investigations until Tate gained global infamy.
Petrescu, who is now releasing a book titled Unmanageable about her time managing the brothers, says the influencer’s arrogance has finally caught up with him.
