Two Victoria police officers have been taken to hospital after their car was rammed by a four wheel drive.
The officers pulled over a silver Toyota Land Cruiser 4WD which was towing machinery at Kyneton, in central Victoria, just after 3.30am (AEDT) on Tuesday.
As the pair approached the vehicle to speak to the driver, the 4WD drove off before turning around and returning to ram the police car.

The 2002 model Land Cruiser then sped off towards Trentham, west of Melbourne.
The two police officers were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
It's believed the car had a male driver and a passenger but investigators do not have descriptions at this stage.
