The embattled Today network has dumped its breakfast line-up on the same day the current hosts released a parody video declaring "everyone's f---ed off".

The station had good news too, announcing duo Hamish Blake and Andy Lee will be returning to drive-time radio in July next year.

Things were looking desperate at the Sydney pop music station after its brekkie show's ratings dropped from first to fourth place in a year when former hosts Kyle Sandilands and "Jackie O" Henderson left for Sydney's KIIS FM.

The station announced their new hosts last December with a viral video set to Pharrell Williams' "Happy", featuring a raft of Australian celebrities and personalities.

Much fanfare surrounded the bagging of former Spice Girl Mel Brown to join the crew which included Sophie Monk, Merrick Watts and Jules Lund.

But the show floundered and Mel B bailed from the show three months ago, followed by Monk last week.

Earlier today, Watts and Lund recut their "Happy" video from last year sans all the celebs — Mel B and Monk most notably.

The music cuts abruptly and Watts, wearing a green gorilla suit, tells Lund: "You know everyone's f---ed off."

The statement was a wink and a nod to their former co-hosts as well as the evaporated audience.

Last night 2DayFM released their new breakfast line-up — Dan Debuf and Maz Compton who are currently running the drive-time desk.

But Lund will remain at the station until at least July, hosting the drive shift until Hamish and Andy take over.
