$1m worth of cannabis found in NSW

Police have found 198 cannabis plants with a street value of more than $1 million during a raid on a property in southeast NSW.

Police searched the rural Bega property on January 9 and found a "sophisticated hydroponic set-up" throughout several rooms of the house as well as in the garage, they said on Wednesday.

They seized light bulbs, fans, fertilisers and electrical transformers, along with the cannabis plants.

No one was in the property during the raid.
