Man charged with murder over fatal stabbing in Cairns

A 19-year-old man has been charged with murder after a 34-year-old man died at a home in Cairns.
Queensland Police said it will be alleged the younger man stabbed the older man with a knife during a dispute at a home in Caravonica at 9.20pm on Friday.
Officers said the men knew each other.

Paramedics were called to the home a short time later to perform first aid but the man was declared dead.
The 19-year-old man will face Cairns Magistrates Court on October 10.
