101-year-old man allegedly assaulted and robbed by teen trio in Darwin CBD
A 101-year-old man on a mobility scooter was allegedly assaulted and robbed by three females on Mitchell Street in the Darwin CBD about 9.30pm yesterday.
It's alleged the trio, aged 14, 15 and 19, held the man, removed his wallet and keys before fleeing the scene.
The man suffered lacerations to his arms and was transported to the Royal Darwin Hospital for treatment.
Police CCTV located the alleged offenders a short time later at a nearby location, where they were arrested and charged with aggravated robbery and deprive a person of personal liberty.
In a statement from NT Police, Detective Senior Sergeant Trent Abbott commended the "swift action" of CCTV operators and officers.
"This was a disgraceful attack on a vulnerable member of our society, and the actions of these offenders were abhorrent," he said.
"Thankfully, the victim is expected to make a full recovery."
